Begin the year of the Water Rabbit by participating in our food-themed two-morning art & drama camps for 4-10 yrs. They shall pay homage to food through poetry, dim sum menus and collage. For those aged 10+, we are hosting a glowing illusion soft pastel still-life class.

IN VISUAL ART…

Pay homage to your favourite dim sum in this mixed-media illustrated menu workshop. Gain a little experience in layout design and illustration techniques. Use a range of methods such as stamping, drawing, cutting and pasting.

IN DRAMA…

Celebrate the Lunar New Year with lots of food… and poems! Our Friday intensive drama workshop will be dedicated to reciting poetry themed around festive food. Participants will learn fun poems and act them out using props and costumes!

IN VISUAL ART…

Celebrate the joyous, auspicious, pun-filled origins traditional Lunar New Year foods. Create a collage poster to celebrate your personal top lucky food and its lucky origins. Use photographic references to recreate the food’s form and fill it with a variety of festive printed paper.

IN DRAMA…

We are celebrating the new year by creating our own collaborative poem! Work as a team to pen your very own food poetry as you make word choices, develop rhythm and rhyme, performance and self-awareness skills. Time to get thinking about all the tasty treats we shall eat!

Take two mornings to immerse yourself in soft pastel still-life. Observe the soft, diffused lighting of George Tooker’s artwork In the Summerhouse. Depict a still-life from a combination of life and photo references to depict your very own illusory glowing Lunar New Year lantern.
