Join us this festive season for all kinds of creative workshops. We invite you and your children to drop in for a single day workshop to craft wintery ceramics or felted tree baubles (see: Festive Delights). Aside from the single day workshops, we have a range of 3-morning offers, from Art to Drama to a combo of both. Let’s celebrate together by expressing our creativity, while making wonderful gifts for family and friends.

‘Tis the season where the air smells of gingerbread. The littlest ones will craft their own ginormous gingerbread man from corrugated card, paint, and foam clay. Take your sculpture home to make your house look so much more festive!

Welcome to the musical world of The Polar Express, where you will be joining other young dancers on centre stage as you groove your way through Christmas with powerful rock energy! Come out of the cold and step aboard the cosy Polar Express! Learn about contrasting warm and cool colours to create an atmospheric wintry scene. Paint your train speeding through a freezing night-time landscape with acrylic paints. Then, add warm glowing lights and bay windows. Watch your chilly painting transform into a warm and welcoming scene.

IN DRAMA…
(Script Analysis, Characterisation, Acting)

We invite you to explore the wonderful and magical story of The Polar Express! You will learn how to read from a script, work in a team, and perfect your performing skills. You will also join your fellow castmates in improvisation and characterisation as you act out a short play. Unleash your inner actor and celebrate the holidays with us!

Embrace the wintry season with our needle-felting workshop! Craft a cozy merino wool ornament featuring a curled-up hibernating animal. Personalise your animal creation with decorative felt pieces. In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn the art of crafting and dry felting to transform wool into tactile shapes and designs.

When Christmas Comes to Town

Every Christmas, the best gift we can receive is the gift of friends and family coming home to us. Let’s celebrate this joyous occasion by joining our voices in song! Explore the soundtrack of The Polar Express and chant a carol to our loved ones, applying newly-acquired vocal techniques to shine a light in the dark of winter. Learn to perform with head and chest voices as we pair our tune with the lush, wintry mood.

‘Trompe L’oeil’ is a French term meaning ‘tricking the eye’. Create a little ‘trick’ by painting festive gift boxes wrapped with kraft paper in plaid and snowflake, or twine and greenery. You will acquire oil painting skills to create an illusion of three-dimensional depth on a two-dimensional surface through careful use of light and perspective. Observe light and shadow on the ribbons and boxes, and add personalised elements like greetings tags and decorative knicknacks.

Learn new pottery skills to handbuild an excellent gift for your loved ones in this ceramics workshop. Use slab building, sculpting, score and slip techniques to render your new clay creation. Dress your snowman with a carrot nose, a cosy scarf, and maybe even a hat! Brush on some festivity-inspired glazes to make every snowman pop.
