Celebrate this winter holiday in the spirit of creativity. This year, our festive camps are all designed to kindle familial warmth and kindness through illustration. For those aged 4-6 yrs and 7-10 yrs, check out our Art & Drama combo camps. For those aged 10+, see our Visual Arts offer. Friends and families may enjoy our ‘Festive Delights’, private group workshops offering either Pour Art or Ceramic Decorative Ornament for adults (during mid-week) and families (Saturday afternoon).

Surprise your loved ones with a festive exploding box card infused with warm greetings. Celebrate the winter holidays and showcase your illustration abilities. Learn about layout design as well as colour and media selection.
IN DRAMA…
“ ‘Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house. Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse…”
Come explore your favourite festive poems and stories, putting your acting skills to the test. Hone your imagination, physical expressivity, and vocal projection. Through role-play and storytelling, interpret drama and finish off the workshop with a Christmas carol to wow your family and friends.

IN VISUAL ART…
What places do you visit every year during the holiday season, who do you see there? Recall those festive memories and create a diorama artwork. Illustrate the exteriors of these special places onto a card, and think about how colour can convey contrasting feelings of frostiness or warmth. Open up the card to see the cozy interiors and the people inside them.
IN DRAMA…
This winter holiday, give your family a special message. Pen a letter accompanied by a video presentation of the performance. In our modern era of text, chat and email, we shall instead handwrite expressions of peace and love to our loved ones. Work on our presenting skills, as well as vocal and movement, to perform and revive the art of communication and give our family and friends a heartfelt festive gift.

Become a (miniature) mural artist to bring seasonal joy and warm wishes into your mini neighbourhood. Construct a model of a building from your neighbourhood and decorate the exteriors with your own artwork inspired by the Glasgow mural trail. Consider the unique challenges of street art and learn new techniques such as stencilling and pasting. Design and apply your unique ‘artist’s tag’ to your creation, as you rejuvenate and revitalise your community with splashes of colour for the new year.

Experiment with pouring colours and produce a marbled canvas that compliments the interiors of your or your loved ones’ homes. Go riotous with an abundant explosion of colour. Consider colour harmony and contrast, hue and tone.
