(3D Mini-Shrines)
Take inspiration from Mexican Dia de los Muertos folk art crafts and fashion a series of mini-shrines. Sculpt miniature Calacas Bailarinas, La Catrinas, and El Catrins. Decorate the shrines with bold, vivid colours, cultural motifs and patterns that reflect natural warmth and celebration.
IN DRAMA…
(Song & Dance)
Sing ‘Remember Me’ and dance to ‘Un Poco Loco’, both from the heartwarming, colourful animated film Coco. Explore themes of family, memory, and love through vocals and movement in this mini-performance.

Design your own spooky pet with 2D drawings, then have it spring into the 3D world with a miniature resin clay sculpture! Inspired by endearing monsters like Frankenweenie and the plant from Little Shop of Horrors, learn how to strike the balance between creepy and cute. Develop your focus and experience the relaxation of working at a miniature scale through intricate sculpted features and finely painted details.

Pay tribute to the King of Pop with a dance number to the Halloween classic ‘Thriller’ with a modified choreography referencing the original. Challenge yourself to sing Michael Jackson’s hit ‘Man In The Mirror’.

Bring still characters and drawings to life through the art of animation. Take inspiration from the dynamic yet spooky walk cycle seen in the 1933 animation movie Betty Boop in Snow-White as well as the more modern stop-motion film Coraline. Learn the basics of animation as you design a Halloween-themed zombie character using the technique of frame-by-frame stop-motion animation to capture a hauntingly seamless walk cycle.

Celebrate the spooky season by crafting the witch’s familiar or simply a cute pet kitty’s origami lookalike. Transform the traditional Japanese origami art of folding paper into a porcelain sculpture through meticulous papercrafting, slip application, and firing. Create one or more ceramic ‘origami’ cats as you learn kiln firing theory while experimenting with kami paper and clay slip.
