IN VISUAL ART…

This autumn, we invite you to craft a mixed-media mysterious spooky house. Use abundant imagination to decorate the outside with Halloween motifs. Combine papercutting, collage, and illustration to complete a 3D lit-up festive home.

IN DRAMA…

Get immersed in the spookily wonderful tales of the Addams Family as our young performers learn to dance to the musical classic ‘When You’re An Addams’. Explore stylised movements and up-beat choreography to channel your own inner Addams.

Take inspiration from Wednesday Addams’ famous dance from Tim Burton’s TV series Wednesday and blend it with artist Henri Toulouse-Lautrec’s expressive, dynamic poster designs. Capture Wednesday’s iconic, goth-y dance moves as you learn human anatomy and the basics of gesture drawing to produce a visually expressive piece in the style of a painted poster design.

IN DRAMA…

Get moving with the iconic dance moves of Wednesday Addams. Appreciate the influences of renowned dancer Bob Fosse as you learn choreography and dance in character.

 

Illustrated Gag Comic

Did you know – the Addams Family made its first appearance in the New Yorker magazine, where it ran for 50 years, as a single-image one-liner gag comic by cartoonist Charles Addams? Design your own original creepy characters that become members of an eerie family. Craft these new characters to tell your uniquely strange and macabre one-liner illustrated gag comic. You will be guided by our in-house comic & sequential artist to experiment with monochromatic inks, watercolours and liners.
